Privacy  Statement DDK.homes

If you use our website, register for our newsletter or, for example, contact us, we BREiNN (hereinafter: 'DDK')

will process your personal data. "Personal data" means all information about natural persons.

This includes information such as names, telephone numbers, addresses and e-mail addresses.

We would like to inform you clearly about how we process your personal data and how we protect your privacy.

In this privacy statement we explain, among other things, the purposes for which we process your personal data in this context, on which legal bases this is done and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

DDK is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing of personal data that is covered by this privacy statement.

Types of personal data We process the personal data you provide to us.

This also includes the use of necessary functional cookies.

Where this privacy statement refers to processing by us, this may also mean processing by processors engaged by us or other recipients.

The relevant recipients are mentioned in this privacy statement.

Purposes of the processing

We only process your personal data if and insofar as this is necessary for our (legitimate) purposes. In that context, we process your personal data for the following purposes

1. Sending newsletters and invitations to events

2. Conducting visitor registration at our events

3. Taking photos at our events and publishing photos on our website and social media

4. Answering questions and following up on contact requests

5. To make our website function.

Basis of the processing

We only process your personal data if and insofar as a processing basis within the meaning of the GDPR applies.

We describe below the applicable processing bases.

In doing so, we indicate to which of the (numbered above) purposes the processing bases apply.

Multiple processing bases apply to the processing for some of these purposes.

Permission

Part of the processing of personal data takes place on the basis of your consent.

If you have given permission, you can always withdraw it. This has no consequences for the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data in the period that your consent was granted and you had not yet withdrawn it.

We base the processing for the purposes mentioned above under 1 and 3 on your consent.

Legitimate interest

Part of the processing of personal data takes place on the basis of our legitimate interests.

These interests lie in being able to register visitors at our events, being able to respond to questions and other messages that we receive, and being able to make our website function. This basis applies to the processing of personal data for the purposes mentioned above under 2, 4 and 5.

If you have any questions about the considerations underlying the above, you can contact us via the contact details at the bottom of this document.

Provision of your personal data

You are not legally or contractually obliged to provide us with your personal data. However, the processing of certain of your personal data is necessary in order to be able to send you newsletters, to invite you to our events, to allow you to participate in an event or to allow you to use our website.

If you do not provide that personal data, we cannot carry out the processing of personal data.

This may mean that we cannot send you a newsletter or invitation, you cannot participate in an event or you cannot use our website.

Recipients of your personal data We share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the aforementioned purposes.

Consider, for example, the party that hosts our website and our support team.

We provide your personal data to the following recipients, insofar as necessary:

1. Our support team

2. from Stokhem Media

3.LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company and LinkedIn Corporation, when we post photos on LinkedIn

4.Dropbox, Inc.

5.Groove.CM Ltd.

6. ZOHO, Inc., through the use of Zoho Mail.

LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company stores personal data on servers of LinkedIn Corporation in the United States. These transfers of personal data are based, among other things, on so-called 'standard contractual clauses', which have been approved by the European Commission. More information about this can be found here.

Dropbox Inc. is located in the United States.

Groove.cm, Ltd. shares personal data with countries outside the EEA, namely with the US.

More information about this can be found here.

By using ZOHO mail, personal data is shared with ZOHO, Inc., which is also located in the United States.

These transfers of personal data are based, among other things, on so-called 'standard contractual clauses', which have been approved by the European Commission.

More information about this can be found here.

Retention period of personal data

We do not process your personal data longer than is necessary to achieve the previously described goals.

In concrete terms, this means, among other things, that we process your personal data as long as you are registered for newsletters and invitations to events: if you withdraw your consent, we will no longer process your personal data for those purposes.

We remove visitor registrations after events.

Rights of data subjects

If your personal data is processed, you have various rights under the GDPR.

We describe these below.

Right of inspection, correction and data deletion

You have the right to find out from us whether we process your personal data and to view this personal data and certain information about its processing, insofar as this does not affect the rights (such as privacy rights) and freedoms of others.

In addition, you have the right to have personal data that is incorrect or incomplete, but is processed by us, corrected by us. Under certain circumstances you also have the right to have your personal data removed.

This is the case:

1. when the personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they are processed

2. when the personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you withdraw that consent and no other processing basis applies

3. when you object to the processing of your personal data and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing

4. when the personal data has been processed unlawfully

5. when the personal data must be deleted on the basis of a legal obligation of the relevant controller. Right to restriction of processing You have the right to temporarily 'stop' the processing of your personal data.

This is possible in the following cases:

1. You have contested the accuracy of your personal data. The restriction then applies for a period that allows us to check the accuracy of the personal data

2. The processing of your personal data is not lawful and you have objected to the erasure of the personal data. Instead, you have requested that the use of your personal data be restricted

3. We no longer need your personal data for the processing purposes, but you need this personal data yourself for the establishment, exercise or substantiation of a legal claim 4. You have objected to the processing of your personal data and are awaiting the answer to the question whether our legitimate grounds for the processing outweigh yours.

Right to data portability

Under certain conditions, you have the right to obtain the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You can then pass on this personal data to another party. You can also ask us to transfer your personal data directly to that other party.

The right to portability only applies to data provided that is processed automatically on the basis of the following principles:

1. your consent; or

2. the necessity of the processing for the performance of an agreement to which you are a party.

Right of objection

You can object to the processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interests.

We will then cease the processing, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing of your personal data.

Exercise of these rights

You can exercise your aforementioned rights by submitting a written request to us (which also includes a request by e-mail).

We may ask you to identify yourself.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority (in the Netherlands the Dutch Data Protection Authority).

This is possible, for example, if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not in line with legal requirements or if you have a complaint in any other way.
